Tūī

Tui is a composite class made up of Year 5-8 students, taught by Sarah Gregory, who is known as Miss G. In 2023, Tūī moved into a new classroom built by the Ministry of Education, which contains a break out space, a kitchen, a toilet and bag bay, and a large covered deck for the students to use.

Tuakana teina is strong within the class, we all work hard to get our learning tasks completed with a lot of fun along the way! As we move through the years in Tui, we continually develop our independent working skills to help transition into high school.

We have one to one devices (touchscreen chromebooks) and they are utilised daily throughout our learning programme. 

Our Year 7-8's go to Technology at SWAS every Friday which provides a great opportunity for the Year 5-6's to take on the leadership roles in the school.

We enjoy all the Education Outside the Classroom opportunities that Franz School provides us, with our yearly Ski Camp to Cardrona for being a highlight!
